The Travel Bookophile is part of flygirlzshop, a company started by a former international flight attendant of many years, who was also an elementary school teacher and is currently a writer as well as an e-seller.  The founder has the distinction of having been to almost all of the destinations featured on this site, most especially, the Arm Chair.

 Each book on our website has been hand-picked by a flight attendant or other travel pro! Our travel literature, guides, and travel tips cannot be categorized as budget or luxury and our emphasis is on well-written travel literature and excellent site guides. We are the website for Arm Chair Travel; travel for special interests such as food, and travel humor.

The Travel Bookophile is located in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, steps from Broadway and Central Park West.  It was once located in the flight attendant’s lounge at Hangar 12, JFK International Airport.
